Hello,
I ran a mksysb via the smitty, and it done successfully, but it says this line : "The mksysb file doesn't appear to be a tape device and does NOT have a bootable image".
What is that mean? I want this file to be a bootable and put it on a nim server. Is it OK and should be worked?

Thanx

Hi,
bootable mksysb can be made on tape or cd.
But your file is OK for using as install image on nim server.
Regards Boris

I agree on NIM server it should be fine, but in case you wanted to make a bootable TAPE just issue the following command:

# mksysb -ix /dev/rmt0

and it will make a mksysb on your rmt0 tape drive.
