Bootable cd re-imaging Hard disk

Hello,

An easy question.Could someone send some links on how I can reload a hard disk baseline image(OS, data ,applications)
with a bootable CD?
Which is the best software for that?
How could I do it?

What did (or are going to) you use to create the images? Eg, if you use Ghost, you can create a bootable CD/DVD set to restore from.
