Can anyone tell me how I can remove the Windows logo from the start-up sequence on Windows 95?

Open Notepad, select to view all files, and edit msdos.sys in the root C:\ folder.
Change the line that says "Logo=1" to "Logo=0"
Save the file as "Msdos.sys" including the quotes.
Make SURE you don't save it as msdos.sys.txt !
Restart.
