I need to get to my working IP address without HACMP. However, when I boot up I am on my boot address and I don't know how to get over to my other address. HACMP on the test box tried to take over my Production box and shut down all the users for a while. Question: How do I get to my working IP without using smit clstart to start HACMP? My software won't work without being on that address.

tristan,

Well simply you will have a boot and service address in your HACMP cluster - when you rebooted log onto the console and type:

netstat -i

Look for your boot IP label i.e. nodea_boot

Then do a

host nodea_boot

Or whatever the boot label is called.

You will then be able to telnet to the boot address from your PC or whatever.

You of course will not have any applications running as the HACMP resource group will start everything when you start HACMP, the TCP/IP stack is available though through your boot address.
