I am running SCO 5.06 on a Dell 4600 with adaptec raid 5 and a scsi tape drive. There are also a combo CD/floppy on a scsi/IDE converter of some sort.This server has two scsi controlers on the MB. One is the Adaptec perc 3Di the 7899 the raid is on the A channel, B channel is empty and the other is an adaptec 7890 in which the CD/floppy is on the A and my tape drive is on the B channel or D&C channel I'm not sure. Everything was working fine untill I installed the tape drive. Now I get this warning at boot up. "Warning SCSI Boot option(s) ignored: Bad parameter count". There are no other problems that are showing up, the server works fine, tape drive works, everything seems okay. I'm just worried about the warning. Is there a way to find whats causing this warning?

DEFBOOTSTR=hd(40)unix swap=hd(41) dump=hd(41) root=hd(42) Stp=/dev/rStp0

Hmm... we have a SCSI tape drive installed but that last option (Stp=/dev/rStp0) is not listed. Try removing it and see if the message goes away... and of course check that your tape drive still works! ;) Annihilannic.
