Hi. I have MacAfee virusscan and firewall set up to load automatically at boot up time. Sometimes at boot up, they do not load. When I do Ctrl-Alt-Delete, it says that Pchschd is not responding. When I do a reboot, everything is fine.

Does anyone know what is wrong and how to correct it? Thanks.

Has it always been like this?

What else is starting when you boot?

Have you considered changing AV & firewall (I'm not a fan of Macafee - its 'clogged up' every machine I've ever been forced to use it on) - AVG provide an excellent free AV and zone alarm similar for firewall. Worth trying - just to see if you get similar results with replacements?

At the site, click Task List and then P. Scroll down to pchschd.

Sorry I left that off.
