Hello everyone
I've noticed that there is new firmware for the 11xx and 12xx IP Phones to improve security. I've managed to update my 1140e IP phone that I use on my BCM system. It now has firmware of 1625C9A.bin
What I'm trying to do is to turn off the Audio intro sound when the phone boots up. This feature has been available for a while now as shown from the attached PDF below.
Parameters/commands changes in Release 5.5 SP4:
1) “wavplay” parameter enables playing audio intro on phone startup (Avaya 1100 and 1200 Series)
y for yes(default) n for no
2) “showWavPlay” command allows checking "wavplay" state via pdt shell.
3) “reboot” command allows restarting phone remotely via pdt shell
I see that if I access the phone via SSH, I get a list of commands. i.e.

I have attached the latest firmware guide and I'm puzzled trying to turn off Audio intro bleeps as there is a command called wavplay with the options of y or n to turn it on and off etc.
Has anyone been able to figure out how to do this in SSH as I have tried a number of ways and they all fail.
