Hi everyone,
I started my computer a while ago and got this light blue screen after the boot screen that says some things about the systems data and how their may be an error, or something to that effect. Then you have 10 seconds to press any key to skip this checking thing, if you do skip the checking thing the light blue screen always appears on startup. Now it seems that the check "truncates" and pruges entries in files on the computer.
Anyway - Most of the data on my drive that it was checking or fixing or whatever it was doing is mostly lost. Some folders are still there but most are empty. It is formatted as NTFS and I am using Windows XP Pro. There is alot of important data that I need to get off this drive but don't want (or afford) to send it out to have it recovered. I've tried many retrevial programs without success. What would you reccommend to do or what software to use. If you need additional information please reply to this post.
Thank you,
Craig
