I used to have dual boot win 7, and Ubuntu. I uninstalled Ubuntu. Everything (Win 7), is working fine EXCEPT my boot screen still has Ubuntu listed. It doesn't affect anything, it just bothers me. I was fine with "Boot.Ini" under XP, but now I don't know how to get rid of it!

There are some command-line tools for managing this but I've always found VistaBootPro to be much easier to use as it's GUI-based. Despite the name, the current version works with Windows 7 too.

Everything is gone, and Win 7 boots OK (Ubuntu was the second choice on the boot screen). All I have left is the listing on the boot screen. If I click on that, it just says that "the program can't be found"! Then I hit escape, and choose Windows. It doesn't interfere with the Windows boot. It just bothers me that it is there!

B3, I installed Ubuntu long ago under XP! Then I transferred everything to Win 7.

I just D/L the newest Ubuntu iso. Should I just go ahead and install that and not worry about it?

Probably. I really don't know. However I haven't had much joy out of 11 - I've gone back to 10. Have fun.
