Hello All,
I have a crashed SCO Unix Openserver Release 5 system running on a DELL machine. I am trying to boot up the system to single user/ maintenance mode and I have the following questions:
1. Can I boot up and mount the root file system using only the cdrom without installing the OS from CDROM?
2. If the answer to No.1 is yes, can I create boot and root file system emergency floppies from my position in No.1 above.
3. I also have a boot/install floppy and using this I have been able to boot the system to the boot prompt. Is it possible to boot to single user mode at this stage. If yes,
what command will I execute at the boot prompt?
Thanks
