Boot loader

Hi there,
I've installed windows xp, then Mandrake 10.0 and then reinstalled windows cause grub install took off the windows boot loader and it didnt worked when I selected dos. But now I want to re-install grub or lilo. I know how to do but I want to be sure that I will be able to boot my gaming platform after.

Use a bootdisk rather than the fixed-disk. If you don't have the bootdisk in the floppy drive, you get Windows. That's a safe way.

Not sure why the install program took away the DOS entry. Probably a bug in the installer. Haven't kept up on the Mandrake-related errata since I sobered up and reinstalled Debian on all my Linux boxen ;-)
