I'm trying to find out if anyone has set up w2k to run off of a usb drive instead of an ide or scsi drive. I have an application where I would like to boot off of other than the ide or scsi devices. In particular I have a w2k application I want to run on a number of machines some of which don't even have ide or scsi drives. I looked a little into booting w2k off of a CD rom but it didn't look like this is possible with w2k. There is a CD that can be built from xp described on but it will only run plugins. I didn't see how I could add my application to the resultant CD rom. Has anyone had success installing w2k(pro in my case) to a usb device?
Thanks!

There was a rumour from both Compaq and IBM that they were investigating this route. Their plan was to remove the CD and floppy drive from a server, and use a USB device to boot from. I am not sure how far they got with this idea, perhaps a search of their sites might give you some pointers.
