I'm able to install the above mentioned card and its WinXP driver in my Gateway K7-1100, AMD Athlon 1.1 GHz, 40 GB HD, 512 MB RAM, running XP Home Edition. Device Manager lists it as a SCSI, no problems, it is working properly, but rebooting gives me blue screen "STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF894D640, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)" The card is detected, but XP refuses to use it. I've been told that I need to reinstall the O/S and presumably add the card when I get the F6 prompt. Others have said that I shouldn't need to go to all that trouble, that the card should work just fine the way I installed it, yet it doesn't. The card doesn't care what PCI slot is used, and although it shares IRQ 9 with 7 other devices, that shouldn't be a problem. Its BIOS is current, as is its Win XP driver. It uses UDMA 5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
