Hi all,
I have a SUSE enterprise server with one raid and one SATA drive.
In normal operation (for more than 1 year), the boot drive, RAID controller is /dev/sda2. /dev/sda1 is the swap and the other SATA drive is /dev/sdb1 for backup purposes.
Everything was ok up to an uncontrolled power failure. When the system rebooted, the server complained of not finding /dev/sda2.
I thus booted in rescue mode with a CD and my raid is now /dev/sdb. Something happened that swap my drives names.
What can be done? What is the simplest solution to this mess.
Thanks,
Simon
