Need to boost ring voltage on opx lines from a
voip system. ring voltage is only 40v and will not
ring opx lines.

any ideas?
Thanks refire

the post is right, you need external line treatment, the ring voltage is the same as local ststions, same ps, the ops line card does boost the line voltage.. how far are you trying to extend the ckt?

Are the lines provided by the telco? If so, there may be other variations in how they provision them?

I was interested as well...I'd guess if anyone made it Tellabs would - but I was unable to find one on their website.

I did find one at Viking - also a 4-line unit.

tellabs used to call them long line adapters.. 7420 or 7224 was the part number 20 plus years ago, and i would not take any bets on that number being right after 2 decades.. we used to use racks of them back in the day..
