Boolean help?

I need alot of help. I was making a AOL program and I want to disable/enable text boxes. I got that part working but even after I disable them, it still appears when I click the button that compiles all the text. How can I get it to not use the disabled fields. I think its some thing like text1.text = disabled then but i dont know how to finish it. I really need HELP!!!

I have no idea what an AOL program is but the properties you may be interested in are text1.Visible and text1.Enabled, each being set to True or False as you wish. If you don't have the docs then go to
