I posted this message in a wrong forum before. Someone led me to this forum, hope I can get help here.
I'm teaching myself MS Win 2000 Server, can anyone recommend some good books for self-studying?
Thanks

Quin

I find the self paced training kit for 2000 + 2003 very useful... for MCP preparation.

What do you want to learn and what is the goal you are aiming for...?
to know how to install and maintain 2000SRV or to manage an active directory domain?
and having a test server installed, even on VMWare is useful too...

tekmate,

Since this is the certification and testing forum, I'll assume that you're looking for advice on studying for and passing Microsoft certification exams for Windows 2000.

Having a test server set up is useful. The books that are generally recommended are the Microsoft Press ones, along with the Sybex books. Both have exercises that will help you to understand the material that you'll be tested on.

We could probably give more specific advice if we knew what exams you plan to take and what certification path you plan to persue.

I learn Win2000 Server to maintain our groupwork's server in furture plan. I'll definitely pursue my certificate later.
Thanks for all advises
