Looking on Amazon.com for books covering InDesign, there is reference made to CS and CS2. It is not clear to me what the difference is between those two.

I am on a Mac and think I have CS, v3.0.1, which I think is the newest, but I may be very wrong. I go the package that is for Pagemaker users.

Any thoughts on good books for me, as well as a resolution to this nomenclature issue?

Thank you....

CS1 = 3.0

CS2 = 4.0

In terms of manuals/books, most features discussed in CS2 are available in CS1 so you cannot go too far wrong with a newer book. For economy, consider looking for a used or older InDesign book as they are cheaper than the current CS2 books. The information in these older books still apply to CS2.
