Hi.

I'm new to Networking and need a good book that covers TCP/IP in a Windows 2000 environment.

There's hundreds of books available and I've not got a scooby-doo which is the best one to buy.

HELP .........

I would first learn about IP then how W2K implements it.
Ciscopress is really good at explaining IP (TCP & UDP). I recommend Doyle's CCNA book.

For W2K I like McGraw Hill's Network Professional's Library series and O'reilly books. Stay away from the ones like Sybex and the 21 days books because there only goal is to make a thick book. Very little meaningful content, easy concepts are covered in depth, difficult to explain ones are just mentioned.

Just my $.02
