I am new to MDX/OLAP stuff and I need a book that will go through the basics up to a high level. Can anybody recommend a good book? I am currently using SQL Server 2000 but am likely to upgrade to 2005 soon.
If your currently on 2K you may want to push to move your OLAP to SQL 2005 ASAP as they are totally different beasts. But Spoffords MDX solutions and the 2005 version are great resources. Others will disagree but I think the WROX book on SSAS is pretty good as it mainly shows you the basics, which is where you really need to start in the 2005 tool set.
