We are installing a Cisco Call Manager 9.0 phone system and I am looking for recommendations for books for administering it. So far the books I have seen are text books, I am wondering if there are books intended for system administrators. My main concern is user administration and the basics, anything too complicated I will leave to our integrator.

Our integrator is setting up the system, we have the basic installed and are waiting for completion of the phone circuit to continue. So I'm not concerned about installation, just administration.

The system administration guide is the best for what you are looking for short of taking a class. You can find it on cisco on line

It is also directly available via the onscreen help within the CUCM system admin GUI interface. If you have admin privileges to your Call Manager, that which you seek is but a mere couple of mouse clicks away. If you have a couple trees available, you can even print it.
