I have been asked to convent an access database so that it can be used over the internet. The database is using workgroups security. The access database the uses the user login ID is used in sql queries so when I user open a form they only see there data which they can modify (add or edit). Some of the forms contain subform. I have also created reports that some times require user input (i.e. start dates and end dates). Could you please recommend a good ASP (or another computer language) book that will enable me to accomplish this task?

Thank You,

rj: Lots of good ASP.NET books out there. I recently put up an Access database (OLEDb) in ASP.NET - has some of the same features you're asking about. You can drop by the site and see what you think - might be able to help a bit. Site is at:
One book I have found quite useful is Mather's ASP.NET Unleashed.

Isadore,

Your web site look a looks like what I want to do. What development environment did you use (ASP .Net Web Matrix, FrontPage, etc.) Is there any benefit to using ASP .Net instead of ASP 3.0? If you want I can e-mail you the database so you see what I need to convert.

Thank You,
rjoshi

Do I have to use a SQL server or can I use MDB file.
