Hi,

I want to buy a good book that will help me understand designing for print (dpi and finished design/look) and possibly the differences between designing for print and screen. (although I know a fair bit about designing for screen so if I can get a good book on print then I will see the differences myself).

Any advice here would be very appreciated and stars will most certainly be handed out.

If you have the ISBN no. that would be great but title, author will be fine.

Thanks all...

If you have a printing press locally, they usually have some sort of publication that has guidelines for designing for prepress. You can usually get these for free.

I have a little book in the office called "Right From the Start" by Alan Barnett. It was written for Courier Corporation and it is an excellent resource, packs everything into 80 pages. there is no ISBN, but if you contact either of the 2 above links, they may be able to get you a copy. Hope this helps.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
