Bombed out on &.7.0 xc upgrade 1

My customer has 6.0 software. I wanted to upgrade to 7.0 XC. I have done many upgrades in the past and usually just swapped the software cartridge and was done. With the upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 XC the MICS would not come back up . The sets contioued to flash. I returned the system to it's original 6.0 pack and it had completely defaulted resulting in a need to reprogram. It also lost PRI keycodes. I founf the system ID. number had been changed. THat is something I don't recall having seen before. How do I do this upgrade properly and efficiently?

You have to go to 6.1 first, then after it's all back to life you can go to 7.0 with no problems.

Thanks for the info concerning the upgrade. Are you familiar with using the upgrade tool. WE never have used them

If it is a 7.0 upgrade tool, you pull out the 6.0, insert the upgrade card and wait for it to say insert MICS csrtridge. Plug in the 7.0 and it should come up with all programming intact. All of these steps include a power down before removing or installing any software card.

I just upgraded a Rel1/T1 & MICS 1.1 to 7.0, with no problems (knock on wood) using the upgrade tool.
