BOM breakdown on component retrieve!

Well every couple years someone wants a new report and I get elected.. too bad I don't use this program more often. Let me preface this request with the fact that I have tried everything "I know" and it caves in. This is a basic BOM breakout of a main assembly to its second level sub's and then their component materials. The report works great EXCEPT!!
Here is the sequence;
1. Main assembly number is pulled from the master part table by "?What Part" parameter.
2. This table is linked to the next level table that holds all the sub-assys and "Direct Purchased" components relating to the "?What Part" parameter.
3. These sub assys are pulled in the report and grouped... Works fine & all sub assemblies and "Direct Purchased" componenets are listed.
4. This table of sub assys is linked to the next level table that holds all the components and raw materials relating to each sub.... This is where it falls apart.
5. When I pull in the materials from the last level, only subs that have "raw materials" show up.
6. Any subs that were "Purchased Directly" with no underlying materials are dropped from the report.
7. I really need to see everything.

Everything else works great and the report is good & accurate EXCEPT it drops all "Direct purchased" components. Obviously this makes the report useless.
I hope someone has some insight to why this is happening.. I hope I can give better details if needed.

Well I guess paying attention to the joins and not going deep enough with the alias's will cause a problem. All fixed now.
