I'm creating an internal phone book for our company. The phone book as internal numbers and external numbers such as pagers and cell phones. Using a query, I can break up the phone numbers by the last 4 digits and the prefix. We have a 4-digit dialing plan internally. I want the report to bold the 4-digit extension if one of my other fields is a DID number. If the Type field is PGR or CELL, then it would not be bold. How can I do this? I'm using Access 2000. Thank you.

have you tried searching the forum? I did a quick search and found lots of posts covering this topic. Here's one:

Thanks GingerR. I checked out the Thread but I'm not sure where to put the code. How do I do that? Also, when you're identifying a specific field in the code (ie table.field), what is the syntax if my table name has a space in it. My table name is "Phone Number". Thanks in advance.

You can use Conditional Formatting. Choose EXPRESSION

[Type] = "DID"

then just set the formatting to be bold.

for objects with spaces in the name, surround the name with square brackets.

Thank you again GingerR. That did it. I didn't think of using the Expression part of the Conditional Format.
