I have recently installed Windows SBS 2003 and have encountered a problem with Exchange. There are several messages in the queue that are unable to be sent because the remote server does not respond. They appear to be junk mail with probably bogus addresses. Is there a way to delete these in mass? Or, can these be filtered in some way? It is very tedious to delete these messages one at a time.

Thanks,

Mike

Not sure if you've tried this, but if your queue is full of bogus messages, open the Exchange System Manager, expand Servers >> YourServerName >> Queues and the queue will display. Click the "Find Messages" button, then "Find Now". When the list comes up, you can select all the messages in queue, right click, and choose "Delete", with the option for delivery failure or not.

Disable NDR's to the internet. This is configured in ESM in global policies.
