Hello,
I have a panasonic kx-tde100 and it is set to page using a Bogen UTI1 when we dial extension 118. It picks up fine and pages correctly, but when we hang up, we get about 30 seconds of busy/off hook beeping. This would also happen if we called another extension and they hung up and we stayed off hook. This beeping is being sent to our entire school district campus. The installer set a VOX to about 6 seconds for us but if anyone forgets to wait that much time and hangs up quickly, it starts the beeping across campus and we have to physically pull the rj-11 on the station port or just wait it out.
Here is some info I found in another thread dated today, for someone with the same issue but with an Avaya. There is a solution presented, but I dont know how to translate that to a panasonic.:

I just setup a UTI1 with my 406v2 going into a Bogen MCP35A. I have a standard analog trunk line set to standard telephone in analoue tab with display off and VM off going to UTI1. Problem is after calling to ext and hanging up there is a tone for 24 seconds that goes over the intercom. What am I doing wrong? Oh found a temp fix, push mute until the UTI1 trunk disconnect hangs up. But this is not how it should work I believe.

Set the Analogue EXTENSION to IVR, which will send a disconnect signal to the UTI and cause it to disconnect when you end the call
For a better result, set the Analogue extension to Paging port, set the UTI to Page Port and VOX, and possibly add a 680-ohm resistor across Tip and Ring or use a matching transformer.
