depends on the wattage of the amp, total number of speakers, total loop length, and the wattage tap being used on the speaker. Why not just run the correct 18 gauge security/speaker wire and not have worry about it?
If the speaker is "amplified" meaning that it has its own little amp built in, then you really need to parallel the existing audio input on the amp. One pair for audio, second pair for power (24VDC I believe). It would be cheaper and easier to just get another 70v speaker...unless you already own the amplified speaker.

It is best to use the proper wiring from the start! CAT whatever is NOT speaker wire and does not meet code for 70.7 volt lines!
You need to follow Bogen's instructions and use the correct wire. You can download this info from their website and also find very good tutorials and references on ATLAS SOUND's website for figuring out the transformer tap settings, wire gage, and amplifier power capacity for a given quantity of speakers, etc. There are also NEC code sections that cover speaker cabling in articles 640 and 725.
I am tired of seeing JUNK INSTALLATIONS!
If you don't know , find out and take the time to do it right.
I Think if you scroll down to page 15 of the Bogen Self Amplified catalog you will find your answer. You will also have to determine the current requirement (CU or current units) of the particular speaker you are using. If you have more than one speaker on a run you might have to get those brain cells working.
I am also going to assume that the amplified speaker is going to be used with one of the Bogen controllers listed in this catalog. It is not designed to be used with a paging amplifier. The output level would normally be way too high because it's designed to supply 70 volt speakers directly through a transformer on each speaker.
