I have a school that uses a Bogen MCP 35A for all the class rooms and the school yard. They have two issues. We are installing a fiber back bone to link 12 buildings together for voice and data. I am installing several Fiber Extenders attached to several 0x16's for the Nortel sets and the IT folks will be doing their own thing for data.

The school office wants to be able to us the Bogen and extend their paging to these other building using horns. Normally we would just run copper to the horn location but I am concerned about the distance with may be some 1 to 2 thousand feet fro the Bogen control unit.

Are there any distance restrictions or could we ride the fiber backbone like I am doing with the Nortel to extend the paging signal to these other buildings.

Also can I use the Nortel to page these same horns through the Nortel paging port?

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks
