How do you connect a Bogen amplifier into a partner phone system?

Take a 2 conductor line cord and plug it into the page port on the CPU, connect the leads to the AUX IN connection on the amp.

If you need a momentary closure during page (MOH mute, etc), use a 4 conductor cord and use the outer conductors for the make/break circuit.

To use: dial intercom 70 to external page only, dial intercom *70 for external page plus calling group 1 members.

If none of this makes sense, hire a sound tech for an hour! I can't tell you the number of blown amps I've encountered because the "tech" had no basic electronics skills. The tech hour is far cheaper than an amp and/or CPU.

The latest Bogen amps from Avaya have a 4-C modular jack in the compartment where the input screw terminals are. If yours is this way, use a 4-conductor line cord from the page port to this jack.

If it is slightly older, use a 4-Conductor connecting cord, connect the Green and Red to the Tel Input and Common, and the Black and Yellow to Music Mute and Common.

Hi dudeEWin,
At least you have the easiest and most reliable brand to work with! Read the instructions, most Bogen amps will automatically reduce the background music level during a page. You shouldn't need a contact closure with a TPU series amp. Connect the Partner page output (pair #1, blue) to the tel input on the bogen. That's about it. If you are at all uncomfortable with this, hire a sound tech and learn. Hire a good tech! 392 is right on with everything else in his post.
