I have just finished installing BOE XI R2 Premium and when I try to connect to the .NET Admin Launchpad I receive the following error. I have found several articles online that say to grant the Network Service account write access on the referenced folder and I have done that, but that has not resolved the problem. I have also made sure that the ASP.NET v2.0.50727 web extension exists in IIS. Also .NET v2.0.50727 is the "Valid Root" listed when I run aspnet_regiis /Lv. Also, the IIS DefaultAppPool account is the Network Service account.

Does anyone have ideas on how this can be resolved?

I saw a similar error to this recently and the cause was permissions related. In our case, afvter receiving a similar error to you, we made one WIndows AD user a member of the Windows Administrators group on the BOE XI R2 server and then the .NET interface worked. Change them back and we receoved the error again. We were not able to isolate the problem and in the end, a server rebuild corrected the problem. The IIS installation must have been "damaged" in some way

What build of XI R2 are you running?

Are you using Windows AD Single Sign On?

Did you install the java application server? If so, does it work?
