BOE-XI (R2) - Disable the "New" drop-down in InfoView..?

BOE-XI (R2) - PREMIUM

I have found the settings in CMC to Disable the "Send To" function in InfoView, but I can't see anywhere to Disable the "New" drop-down in InfoView..?

In a perfect world, I actually only want the NEW drop-down list to only show "NEW - > Web Intelligence Document" for users who have those rights. Currently they also see a "NEW" list that includes :

- OLAP Intelligence Report
- OLAP Intelligence Connection
- HyperLink
- Publication
- Crystal Report
- Document from local computer

Some advice would be appeciated - If anyone knows how to manage or disable this drop-down list.

not sure about the entire button, but here's how you can disable individual "New" menus:
It's for .NET, but java must have a comparable entry...

C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise115\appplugins\webdesktop\Plugins\CrystalEnterprise.Report.xml

comment out this section:

Thanks for the info, we use .NET InfoView so our .NET developers will look into it.

I'm kind of surprised that controlling the NEW menu is not a RIGHTS based solution within the BOE-XI application.

The security/rights options don't appear to be granular enough, or cover enough functions within the application.
