BOE-XI : Only certain objects are hanging in PENDING 1

We have thousands of Crystal Report objects that run each morning, some solo - others in object packages.

A handful (less than 5) of these objects are hanging in PENDING mode, while others (that run on the same server against the same database) run fine.

If I create a new copy of the same objects in a different folder location it works fine, but if I update the existing object and RUN NOW it still hangs as PENDING.

I would be much happier with a FAILED than a PENDING, because at least I would have an error to trace.

Has anyone seen this behavior before....?

Did you get a resolution on this issue?
We had the same situation this morning with three scheduled reports that are sent by e-mail: although they ran succesfully, and I can view the instance, they are hanging in Pending mode. 2 of them went to the e-mail but one did not.

We had applied patches the previous week from BOBJ that did not expressly say that you had to Reboot the servers afterwards - and didn't prompt you to reboot.mak

It turns out the patches make registry cahnges that do not take effect properly unless you shutdown all the servers in your BOE-XI (R2) cluster and bring them back-up in order.

If you are running on a single-server, then you need to reboot that server.

Once we did that, our pending issue went away.
