We recently installed Business Objects Enterprise XI in our environment. We are now trying to connect to it from our .NET web applications on a different server by using the WCA. I am having an issue with getting single signon to work from there.

I have followed all the instructions about updating all of the web.config files and have the correct security in IIS. The error that we get is "The Active Directory Authentication plugin could not authenticate at this time. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact your technical support department. ". This happens from both Infoview and custom .NET applications. Everything works properly if I pass my user id/password in the code, but doesn't pick it up automatically as it should.

The crazy part is that everything works fine from a different lab server that I have been testing with. The only difference is that the lab machine has Windows 2003 SP1 and the other machines are just Windows 2003 without SP1 (the Business Objects server is Windows 2003 SP1 also)

I have patched Business Objects XI up to SP1 on each server, and it had no affect.

Has anyone else encountered this? I have spent over 6 hours on the phone with tech support and they have no clue what is going on with it.

Thank you!!
Keith
