BOE XI: How to auto print Legal/Landscape on Letter?
Crystal/BOE XI: Within BOE, we automatically email a legal-sized (8.5x14) report as PDF. When users open and print PDF, it resizes and prints on Letter/Landscape (8.5x11), which they're happy with. They now want report to PRINT automatically (instead of email) and continue printing on Letter/Landscape (8.5x11).
(1) Within BOE / Process / Print Setup / Print When Scheduling: I see "Print in Crystal Reports format using the selected printer when scheduling". After checking box and entering my local printer, I set Format to PDF (under Schedule tab) and it printed on Legal paper --- which user does NOT want. Can BOE only "Print in Crystal format" when scheduling? No other formats? It seems to ignore Format (under Schedule tab). I can't find how to resize a Legal report in Crystal format to Letter size (without cutting off last few columns). Exporting first to PDF (ex: to email or default inbox) seems to resize it as desired, but doesn't accomplish the auto-print.
(2) Within BOE / Process / Print Setup / Print When Scheduling: I also tried setting Layout with Custom Settings of Landscape and Letter (paper size). It printed on Letter paper but cut off last few columns of report.
(3) Within Crystal Report app itself, as well as on BOE server: I also tried to set local printer as Letter/Landscape. Cuts off last few columns again.
Any suggestions? Thanks for any advice!
