Hello,

I am attempting to set up BO Sharepoint Integration kit and am in need of the BOE XI SDK.

I am guessing I will need to install BOE on my sharepoint server in order to get the sdk.

I am wondering what version of BOE I can minimally purchase to receive the developer tools and sdk.

Thank you

I'm assuming that your company is running BOE. If so, you can just install the SDK off of the BOE install disks. You don't need an additional license to do this, but you will need the license key and registration number that was used to install the BusinessObjects servers.

1. Run the install and click through the first couple of screens.
2. Select "Perform Server Installation" and click next.
3. Enter your information and the license key.
4. Select where you want to install the files and click next.
5. Select "Custom" and click next.
6. Click on the top node and select "Entire Feature will be unavailable"
7. Click on the plus sign (+) next to “Client Components”, click on “Developer Components”, and select Entire Feature will be installed on local hard drive” then click on next.
8. On the Start Installation screen, click on Next. A progress screen will appear displaying what is being installed. Don’t believe the “Time Remaining” numbers – they’re wrong and it will take longer than it says.
9. When the registration key appears, select “I am a registered member and want to enter my number now.” Then enter your registration number and finish.

You should now be able to use the SDK. We used this install procedure to install the SDK on a number of application servers that we use to schedule reports and set up users from our batch processing system.
