BOE Enterprise Service Accounts

What is the recommended account to run all services under? In particular, what about the ListOfValuesJobServer?

Issues surrounding service accounst include the following:

Default account is LocalSystem.

It is recommended to change this to an account that has:

1. Admin rights to the Server(s) upon which BOE XI R2 is installed
2. Sufficient Network Access rights to facilitate scheduling to file destinations and Printers on machines other than the BOE Server.

The LOV Job Server only processes scheduled List of Values objects that have been scheduled via the Business View Manager.

These objects only require database access, which is granted via their Business View Data Connection and is usually a database account not a Service Account.

Therefore the Local System Account would adequately suffice. However, changing it to a dedicated service account is recommended as the account name is recorded in the Event Log and can assist with troubleshooting. It is easier to pick a named service account from the LocalSystem Account in a busy Application Event Log.
