Body tags overriding?

Simple question.

I downloaded a template site that had some CSS in it and the new css I put into it is not working. I think some tags that were already there (maybe the "body" tags?) take precedence over everything else.

Can anyone help me?

Not without looking at your code.

And body tags? They re a basic tag for a website there can only be one set of those. I the have any styling applied to them inline you can;t override those. You could juts remove them.
but obviously we can;t be sure that's event he cause without looking at your code.
Perhaps a link to where we may see the site? and an explanation of what is not working.
