Hello, i wonder if anyone could help me with a problem that i have with a 6.2 realitis dx, dual processor, DC power system
On power-up from a 'cold' start ( both circuit breakers on power dsistribution plinth in the 'up' position.) the A processor control group proceeds to load ( top green l.e.d. solid on upi, next one down flashing on/off )however just before th system software header is displayed and the B processor starts to load i get the following message displayed on the terminal screen :
(CPU) BOOTLOAD ERROR (eocmnf226.hrm) 0X0000000.1
The system then loads the offline B processor. Also, whilst the offline processor loads, the 'A' processor upi software load l.e.d. flickers on and off four times. I don't think this should be happening whilst the offline upi loads from the media card. I have had a lot of problems with this system since taking delivery of it. Initially the data on the Media card ( hard drive ) was completely currupt. This was caused by incorrectly formed CIO ribbon cables ( the grey flat 64 way ones that run between the rear of both control module backplanes ). The connectors on the ends of the ribbon had not been punched down entirely on to the cable across it's entire width!. After fitting a replacement media card/ribbons and reloading the system software from the supplied original siemens 'Day One' diskettes i have been encountering the bootload problem.
Would be gratefull for any assistance on this matter, is it a software or hardware problem ?
