BO XI instance has success but cant view excel or word formats

I am running Business Objects Enterprise XI using the Central Management Console. I have successfully created a report object. When I schedule it to run using a Microsoft Excel format or Word format, the instance runs with success, but it fails to load in the viewer. If I change my format to Adobe Acrobat or Crystal reports it runs with success, and will load in the viewer. Any thoughts on why it fails to load with excel or word?

Is Microsoft Office installed on the computer where you're trying to view the reports? If not, you need to install the "Office Web Components" - probably version 10 or 11 - that will allow you to open Office documents in a web browser.
