BO only returning first 244 characters of a notes field

Hi,

I'm using version 6.5 full client on a DB2 database. I'm reporting on a notes field that can go up to 1000 characters, the problem I have is that BO is only returning the first 244 characters of this field. I've been into the universe to change the field type to long text, but this has no impact. Can anybody suggest what might be causing this problem and if there are any ways around it...?

It appears that this is a general problem associated with my PC and location as opposed to a business objects problem....
