When I make a query/report with BO InfoView, lithuanian alphabet are shown wrong in the result chart. Both InfoView and the db, from which the information is retrieved, are using UTF-8. And as far as I know, lithuanian alphabet can be written with that charset. My browser is IE6.0 and OS Windows2000/WindowsXP.

How to fix this problem?

What's the local-language setting on your PC and IE Browser?

I also think you need to be on IE6.1 or higher.

I tried to change local settings, IE language settings, also tried Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.9 with different language settings but nothing works.

To show you an example of my problem:

Now: Should be:

Ð Š
Þ Ž
Ç ?
Î ?
Í ?

with some more.

Now I've tried it also with IE7 but didn't work. Also checked browser's character settings which are correctly UTF-8. I also made some direct queries with Unix (using UTF-8) to my DB2 database and yes, characters are written correct there. What can be so wrong with my BO InfoView and WebIntelligent documents? Is there some Universe based settings where administrator, namely me :), can choose which is the character set when accessing, making queries, to the actual db? Or what's next...

Have you called support?

Also, what version are we talking about? If you're on 6.x, you're going to need to do some work at the server side to make UTF8 work.

Haven't called support, yet.

I'm running BO Enterprise XI rel.2, web intelligent document 11.5.x. Both IE6.0 and 7.0 showed web intelligent document wrong, 7.0 was even worse, but the server was also different.

What must be taken care of in the server side?
