Am new to BO..
Would like to know in short about how the
1. BCA functions ?
2. what is report bursting?
3. is it possible to build cubes in BO just as in Cognos?

have already installed BO and done some reports and universes but would like to know how to go about with cubes..

BCA simply is a report scheduler. It schedules and distributes reports.

Report bursting is the concept of scheduling a report and having it distributed to a variety of users who have different security settings. That way each person gets the portion of the report they are entitled to.

No, you can't really build cubes like Cognos. But, BO does build cubes within each report. So, in essence, each report can be drilled on. A better solution is to attach BO to a Microsoft or Essbase or Oracle cube.
