I have a project which I think Business Objects could provide a solution for.

Our environment is comprised of an existing Business Object installation for management information and an intranet site build on the DotNetNuke content management system.

What I would like to achieve is to provide a list of customers in a web page on our intranet site. When one is selected by clicking upon it a set of reports is displayed in a web interface on our intranet site. These reports will all have the same format and structure for all customers.

One idea I have is to let DotNetNuke handle all the permissions element for pages and maybe even build the list of customers which can then pass a customer ‘ID’ via the url to the reports interface. As we already use Business Objects to build reports, could I create report templates that have a customer ‘ID’ passed to them for data population and returned to the user?

My Business Objects product suite knowledge is near nill, so I would like to ask for ideas on what products would be needed to achieve my goals and how they would interact and be configured.
