BM12 Character Length Question 1

I noticed that the number of characters that can be displayed on the BM12 does not use the entire space provided on the display.

For example I can enter about 15 characters what will show but anything longer will not be shown. However is looks like there is enough room for about 30 characters.

I am always having to abbreviate departments and persons name.

Am I doing something wrong or is the display just programmed to only show X number of characters and the rest is to show blank? Seems like it should allow the entire line for each name to be used.

Can't recall how it looks with IP Office, but with Aura some button functions use the space on the left for status icons in addition to the button lamps. So probably, for all rows the firmware reserves some space for potential icon display.


Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
