Hi all,

I have a laptop with blutooth and a desktop. If I purchase a usb bluetooth for my PC, will I be able to share files or other resources with the laptop?

p.s I know it's quite slow as compared to 802.11b or a wired LAN.

Most definitely, it wouldn't be very useful if it couldn't!

It will work the same as if you sent the data from a bluetooth mouse, you just have to set the computer up to listen for it. I am sure that there are lots of tutorials on it on google.

Later,
Ron

Me: When will the project be finished?
Them: What project?
Me: The one you have been working on for the last 3 years!
Them: Ohh, we can't finish it?
Me: Why?
Them: We don't know how to program...

If you can, get the pc usb device from the same manufacturer as the laptop one (assuming it wasn't built in). You'd be surprised how different bluetooth manufacturers have 'interpreted' the Bluetooth standard in different ways. Nokia are notorious for this (as an example).
