Hi,
First of all I'm a complete novice in bluetooth/symbian interaction.
I own a Nokia phone with bluetooth, and a bluetooth usb adapter. I can connect the phone to the pc without any problem, and do every task I'm supposed to be able to. My question is, is there any way I can "talk" to my phone, and that audio gets sent to the PC's soundcard? I mean, when I talk, it's like I'd be talking to a microphone connected to the pc, and when I listen, is like I'm listening through the speakers.
My bluetooth adapter has a service that activates the hands-free feature in the phone, so it's like (I think) I had a bluetooth headset connected to the phone, just without the headset.
I've been digging the net, and found out some stuff:
- Nokia only "allows" bluetooth audio when in hands-free/headset mode;
- there isn't any API to access bluetooth audio at phone-side, which makes it impossible to produce any symbian app to interact with bluetooth audio;
Things I figured out by myself:
- When hands-free is activated, it's like the PC was the headset, as it's speakers output every sound that would normally output through the phone. But only the sound that "comes" from the phone (ex: someone talking to you; mp3 player on the phone), the sound of you "talking" doesn't get through.
Basically, what I need is the phone to act as a microphone/speaker to the line in/line out of the pc, respectively.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
