About twice a month, I come in to find my system bluescreened. This always happens when I am away from the computer, so it is nothing I am doing. This has been going on for a couple of months. (CPU core temps are 110, and 115 F.)
I get an "ATI.XXX" error in the report. I have already removed and reinstalled the drivers (Radeon HD 6670 card). Also there has been a driver update since the last time, so I don't think that is the problem.
The card comes with 2 gig memory. Since this acts similar to "bad" system memory, is there any way to test the memory on the vid card? Or should I just give up and replace the 6 month old video card?

I wouldn't replace the video card, My Nvidia card was acting similar to that, so I replaced it with a newer one, and the driver still bombs out once in awhile, but doesn't blue screen, it stops, and then restarts the driver, and I get a message about the driver messing up. Used 5 different drivers, and went with some beta drivers, found one that was mostly stable, and still allows me to play the games I want. I think its a windows 7 issue, but who knows.

No, that discussed a conflict between Nvidia HDMI audio drivers, and default MS HDMI Audio drivers. I checked, and I have only the Nvidia drivers. It did give me some more leads to pursue the problem.

Thanks linney, that was what I was looking for.
Well, I ran the VMT test (full overnight). No errors.
Memory O.K. - drivers O.K.! So my next "check" is to put in a different vid card, and wait for a couple of weeks to see if it blue screens again.

Just to clean this up: I've been using a different card. Haven't had a "blue screen" since. I'm in contact with Diamond for possible warranty replacement.
Thanks for helping me track it down!
