I have an NT workstation that crashes when a specific users trys to log in to it. It works fine when I log in as myself . But when my she logs in it crashes right after the log in screen. It Blue Screens and dumps system memory. The workstation did have a novel client on it but I removed this thinking that it might have something to do with the problem, this made no difference. The machine is currently running service pack 4
and I am currently trying to download a newer one to see if that will help. Any Help on this would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you may have a trashed profile. There was a thread in the MIS -> Microsoft NT 4.0 forum that taked about how to fix a profile. The subject was "Repairing Profiles." It may help. Of course, you may have to remove the user and recreate the profile from scratch.
I have a similar problem. I have this same blue screen with the memory dump. However, this is a single nt workstation, not part of a network. I had reinstalled nt workstation. However, now I can't get past this blue screen with the physical memory dump information. I have not yet loaded the SP4. Will this solve my problem? I doubt that updating the user profile will help me. What do you think?

I ended up recreating the users account to correct this problem. It worked and I have had no problems since. I think that installing service pack 4 is probably a good idea it contains among other things NTs fixes for y2k glitches that were claimed to exist. Last time I checked the current NT service pack was 6a, I am currently running sp5. It may just be me but I usually like to wait til they have been around for a while, before installing them. I know that they are put out to fix glitches, errors, problems and the likes but it often seems that they come with their own new set of quirks, and it nice to let others find them. Of course thats just my opinion I could be wrong
